Knowledge Blessings

I was blessed with the opportunity through Beachbody to listen to a live webinar of Brian Tracy. I got this blessing because I hit a goal as a coach that I try and hit every month called "success club." We get exculsive prizes for hitting this and this month I got a webinar with Brian Tracy. I had no clue who this was but knew that he must be awesome because Beachbody set it up.

I tuned in and listened to what Mr. Tracy had to say, which was incredible. I wanted to share some of the things I learned.

Goals
Do you have a goal?
Is your goal written down?
Is your goal planned out?
Does your goal have a deadline?
Can your goal even meet the deadline?

When trying to achieve goals, you have to figure out whether it is a clear goal or a fantasy. Is this something you are really planning for or is it something you are just going to shoot for and miss?

Goals need to be clear, measurable, and have deadlines.

Decide what you want to do, what you want, and maybe why you want it. Goals are hard to achieve without a motive or a purpose. Write down your goals to make it reality. Set a deadline to make your subconscious believe it has to be done quickly. Plan out every step and organize it. Then TAKE ACTION --- Do something everyday.

Want to improve a skill? Do it everyday. Practice makes perfect, right? Over time doing something consistently will improve not only your skill but a lot of things in your life. It's called the Compound Effect.

Never quit until you succeed.

Learning
Brain Tracy said that this was the secret to the highest paid people: lifetime of learning.

You can learn anything your heart desires, you just have to want it. You have to want to pick up the book and learn it. The people that are successful are successful because they did things they didn't want to do but they knew it needed to get done.

Just do it. Read on a daily basis. Don't like to read? Listen to an audio book or watch YouTube videos on it. There is so much wealth of knowledge on the internet but not that many people even use it.

Turn the tv off, put your phone down, and learn something.

Double Performance
Look at what you have been doing, is it moving you toward your goals or is it just a distraction?

List what you do in two categories A and B. The A category is what moves you towards your goal and the B category either keeps you from it or doesn't move you at all. Look and see if there is more in the B category than the A category. If you see more in the B category, you know that the majority of the time you spend if distracting you from actually reaching the goals you need to achieve. Take a step back and plan to not do things in the B category.

Think of it this way, when you are moving more towards the B category, you are left unhappy, dissatisfied, and disappointed. When you are moving towards your goals, you are happy, satisfied and  motivated.

Start using your time wisely and always choose A.

These tips can be put into play in everyday life to succeed in everything you do.
